Ockert Greeff
, a South African Canadian drummer, uses drums and words to create rhythmic poems, relying on some of the earliest oral and musical traditions –drumming, storytelling, chanting and rhymes. He earned his BA Hons. in Afrikaans Literature in Johannesburg and was co-founder of the Afrikaans cult band Die Brixton Moord en Roof Orkes. His work has appeared in Ons Klyntji and at various poetry film festivals, including the Raleigh Film & Art Festival and the Small File Media Festival (Simon Fraser University).

Regina YC Garcia
is an award-winning Poet, Language Artist, and English Professor. Her work appears in SoFloPoJo - South Florida Poetry Journal, Up the Staircase Quarterly, The AutoEthnographer, The Amistad, Main Street Rag, New Note Poetry and others. Her work has also been featured in an Emmy winning episode of Muse, as well as in the 2022 Sacred 9 Project of Tulane University. Her book, The Firetalker’s Daughter from Finishing Line Press was released in March 2023.

The collective aims to make the poetry reading more accessible, punk rock, and lowbrow by promoting poetry as a linguistic happening as opposed to a literary genre.
