Initially with no end date but now that we've been in it for a while there should be an end date for each issue, that means we simultaneously close the May 2021 submissions 3/31/2021 11:59 pm and open the August 2021 submissions Midnight 4/1/2021. Otherwise the Submission pages will be eternally cluttered with multiple issues. Essay, Flash, & Video are easily managed because there is only one decision maker for each of those projects. Generic acceptances & declinations work well for these single piece submissions. Poetry is more complicated: Currently leaving a submission with "New" status until enough readers have weighed it. At that time the votes are tabulated and added to the Activity Log. This action moves the submission from status "New" to status "In Progress". Once a submission has status "In Progress" they are assigned to the Issue editor and the readers can be unassigned. Consider sending a brief update note to the submitter at this time: "Your poem BLAHBLAH has been recommended by our readers and has been forwarded to the Issue Editor for a final determination" Custom Acceptance letter should list the name of the poem(s) in the email subject and again in the email body. Use generic decline letter for junk, write a custom decline letter for submissions with a few yes votes. Submittable Plan: Unlimited Editors, Unlimited Submissions $39/month Replace Lenny with Francine as Flash Editor
